What “unlimited” really means
Two unlimited tiers, and we're straight about how both work:
- Unlimited — full speed for 1 GB/day, then 512 kbps for the rest of the day.
- Unlimited Plus — full speed for 2 GB/day, then 2 Mbps for the rest of the day.
The full-speed allowance resets daily — no hard cutoff mid-trip. Heavy streamer or working remotely? A larger fixed plan can beat the unlimited tiers on sustained full speed — compare both above.
How much data do you need?
- Light: 1–3 GB for a short trip, mostly maps and messaging.
- Normal (maps, social, some streaming): 10–20 GB for a one-to-two week visit.
- Heavy (video calls, streaming, working remotely) or a longer stay: 50–100 GB.
